Statement of Support for VMware

Compuware will support customers using Vantage to monitor VMware virtual environments. Compuware will provide technical support for Vantage in VMware virtual environments in an identical manner as Vantage is supported on other supported x86-based systems without requiring reproduction of issues on native hardware. Should Compuware have reason to identify the virtualization layer as the root cause of an issue, the customer will be directed to contact the appropriate VMware support provider to resolve the virtualization layer issue.

Vantage Dashboards & Service Model-VMware Integration Support

All Vantage Dashboards & Service Model 11.5 server components can be installed on VMware virtualized environments, specifically VMware Workstation 7.x, VMware Server 2.x, and ESX4.x.

The Vantage vCenter adaptor can monitor virtual environments in vCenter Server 4.0 and higher. The virtual machine must be running with VMware Tools enabled, and the adaptor must be able to access the vCenter Web Services SDK.
